I agree. A $2 one at that. Even if that header fit my Jeep and was $10 I wouldn't buy it for fear of some disease from her holding it.

Very often I see the humor in what I'm thinking and choose not to see how it might insult or hurt someone's feelings. Humor first feelings second. :headshake:

So I'll say this. That girl in the ebay picture may be a very nice person and I don't want to directly (on indirectly) insinuate that she's a working girl, or looks like one. She's just a person that agreed (probably for a husband or boyfriend) to pose for a picture and she just isn't SUPER MODEL status like we are all used to seeing in advertisements.

It's all very funny and hopefully if for some strange reason she was to make it here and read all the above posts she would see the humor and not be insulted.

I dunno... I see an attractive young woman being used to generate more traffic to their ads.

There is a three page thread here about an ad for an aftermarket exhaust manifold. Seems like it worked......

This girl has probably been told she is very attractive most of her life and thinks she has a chance to be a professional model. These advertisers use girls like this for their purposes and when they are done, just cast them aside like any other advertising media. They treat them VERY poorly and continue to tell them stories of how they are going to make it big. And when they are no longer young enough, or skinny enough, or attractive enough for them to use.

I guess seeing one of my family members used in much the same way and being the father of three blond hair, blue eyed daughters leaves me with a bit of different perspective.

I had a 3 hour argument with a guy on CF about this stupid ebay seller because he was mad that a guy put a link to a pic with a girl "barely clothed skank" is what he said. He did not like it cause he was a Christan and it was wrong! I told him it is a link to a header not a ad for a prostitute! The Girl is not the best looking ever but that was no reason to call her a skank and a prostitute! In the end it is the part we should be worrying about that is what he is selling.

There's nothing wrong with that girl, or her posing for the ad. I just found it interesting that someone was doing that on ebay.

There is nothing wrong with putting a pretty girl scantly clad in an ad to draw attention of male readers. It's been being done for years and as long as everybody is getting a good product and making good money, including the model, all is good in my humble opinion.:thumbsup:
