Has anyone used these tires? Wish i had a pic. but i don't :(:(

I know it wouldn't make a good mud tire but I really am not a mud person I like fire lane , gravel roads ,and trail riding.

If you could give me some info on the tire I would be great full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My experience with Goodyear has been a mixed bag. They have made some good tires and some real crap. None of the passenger car tires I have had with their name on them did well. They all separated and went wop wop wop. I drove a truck with some 11X15 light truck tires on it and the tires had been replaced on warranty when I took over the driving and then I lost one of the brand new ones. It had steel belts and turned into a porcupine. But then on the other hand I had some 9.00X16s that were OK. So go figure.

I just put a set on my 01 and really like them. They have a bit of a stiff ride as they're e load rated. But they are pretty smooth and quiet for such an aggressive look. They handle an o w and wet roads well due to all the siping , and the tighter center tread makes them smoother and less noise and tire slap th a n a full blown Mt. I have a out a thousand miles on them and all is well. They do run a scosh big though as my 245/70/16 rub my stock rig in several places. Nothing my 3" lift won't cure ,but , they won't work for most rigs stock in t :) at size. Fyi.

I run these tires on my rig. I'm definitely no expert, but let me share my experience with them and what I found researching before I bought them. I think they are perfect for a Daily Driver/ Weekend Warrior XJ. The guy in the article is driving a big diesel which is apparently too much truck for these tires. This is a really good review from a guy driving a Tacoma which is closer to our curb weight.

After twenty thousand miles the poster expects 40-50k life span out of the tires.

Here's two full pages of great reviews by fellow Jeepers, only three people said they wouldn't recommend out of 33. (also I think one guy on the second page said no by accident)

When I put mine on I could immediately tell a difference in ride quality compared to my old tires (BFG Big Foot). Before I left the parking lot I could tell they were smoother. They ride super smooth on pavement, and give me tons of traction in dirt, snow and mud, I have yet to get stuck. I have to try to hear them when I'm driving, and most of the time I can't here them over wind noise. In 31x10.50 they have a load index of 109 or 2,271lbs per tire so x4 = 9,084 max vehicle weight. More than plenty for our XJs. They are an all terrain that look like a mud terrain, have awesome steet manners, and great performance off road. I think they are pretty great and would definitely buy them again. Plus they look awesome!

I bought a set of these used from a guy off CL. They're great tires. Good in the mud and all the siping makes them grip good in the snow. I took the 31's off my Xj put them on the wife's Wj and bought another set of them in the 17" flavor for my Xj. I wouldn't be scared of them they are a great tire for the money.

while it's a bit of a thread res, i can vouch for the wrangler duratrax. I've got a set on my Isuzu and they are awesome on everything I've ran it on. They are more aggressive than the authority, but not as aggressive as a true MT. Noise isn't too bad, and treadwear has been really good. Also had a chance to use them in ice/snow this winter and I had no issues at all.

I think the cheapest I ended up getting them shipped was from Amazon a year and a half ago. They were 265/75R16 LR-C and i think i paid 202 shipped and got them the day after ordering. Not sure where would have the best price now.

These are soo good that when I do find my XJ, i'll probably pull these off my trooper and put them on the XJ once I find some 16" wheels.

I know this is an older thread.
But i have had these tires for a few years. The first set i put on my. 2000 blazerZR2 put 60k on them. Did great pushing snow as well. Now i am crazy about rotating and keeping the psi. When i needed new tires i got the same one's for my ZR2 sold them when the Z died. Got them back and put the on my XJ.
