Ive never heard of this. Somebody posted a link about jeep stroker motors and i came across this link on their website: http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/jeep_tips.html

In the section "Oil Recommendations" it says that the inline 6 uses flat tappet cam and needs zinc, which oils now a days dont have.

So does anybody do this?

I use Valvoline Racing oil, which has some in it. Not enough for break in, but enough for flat tappet engines, which a lot of racing engines are. Also it is designed to be burned in a combustion chamber without leaving deposits. So if you have a high milage motor it is a good oil for that purpose.
