I have one question about the hood lift. They look like the tail hatch lift shocks (or whatever they are called). I recently had to replace mine when they would not hold up the tail hatch and the sticker says do not expose to heat. Are these made from a different material/chemical or is the heat from the engine not high enough to cause a problem with it? Probably a dumb question but I thought I would ask before placing my order.

Good question.

I'm pretty sure that warning is about major heat as in fire. I'm guessing that someone, somewhere threw one in a fire and it made a big enough pop that an attorney got involved and made it so that the mfg of the shock now has to put that sticker on their shock. :smiley-laughing021:

I can honestly say that mine have not exploded yet. :thumbsup:
