WTB- 242 Transfer Case

WTB- a 242 TC that will fit an AW4 transmission in a 2000 XJ. I have read there are different spline counts on some years in the AW4.:confused:

I THINK I have found the cause of my noise, the output shaft for the front DS has bearings that are failing.:sad0147:

Looking for a 242 that is in "good" shape. By that I mean it will turn 360* and obviously has NO holes in the case.:rolleyes: I plan on rebuilding it, before I pull the one out of the Jeep.

Thanks Jeff for the info.:thumbsup: I found one out of a 2001 XJ in Nashville, IN. I sent them an e-mail asking for more info. We'll see what they have to say. Hell I was only a mile or so from Nashville on Saturday.:rolleyes:

Firehawk, I have a NP 242 if you're still needing one. It is out of a 1990 however so I don't know if that would work. I still have the auto trans too.
