engine swap

ok i search for this w no luck! but i found a 93 xj that was wrecked, the engine comp is still intact and good condition, plus the engine was rebilt 5000 miles prior so new just about everything, and i can get the complete engine, tranny and xfer case for 300, can i swap it with my pos 89 renix? i want to cause i am having wiring problems and cant find and wiring harness for 89 and the previous ower sd something about the flex plate went bad but he fixed it but i dont trust that he did! so could this be an option?

Sure you can do it. Just be sure you grab the wiring harness, which you already want to replace anyway. I would use the tranny controller too. One other issue you will have is with the cooling system. The Renix has a closed system and the 93 has an open. So, plan on getting a radiator and hoses too
