She's a really pretty rig. The only thing I didn't like that you did was paint the rear quarter panel black. I understand the reasoning, just less yellow to love.

I've mentioned it before that diamond plate on the side of your overhead is really cool. I'm trying to stay away from getting one of those, but having all the goodies up there handy is a practical, logical argument for one.

I did the black quarters after it got some pretty good brush scratches down one side

Makes perfect since. I would have done the same, or put some armor on there.

One bad-as$ rig that spits fear in the face of whoever is riding it's tail. I pity any vehicle that would dare to rear-end that jeep. OUCH.

Heh, NICE trophy!

I love seeing the evolution of Jeeps, it's always interesting to see the steps that someone went through.

I worked a bit more on my quarters. Had a good size rust spot starting where my CB antenna mount was rubbing. Fixed it by going a bit higher with the bedliner. Added some tailight gaurds I got from 2000xj (thanks) and put my rock rails back on. Should be ready to go for summer now. It need s a good cleaning that I plan on doing this week. My local club is putting on a all Jeep/Mopar show this next weekend.

I like that H2 recovery team sticker

xjjeepthing
06-07-2009, 08:02 AM
I removed the H2 recovery sticker. Since our local club is going to the proving grounds wheeling, some of us decided it might be a good gesture to take them off. But I do have new one coming. LOL

I've got two on mine. Seriously though is a Hummer anywhere close to being a decent off road vehicle? H2, and H3 is what I referring to.

I'm not indicating "by my sticker" that the H2 isn't a good vehicle, but it needs to stay on the paved surface where it was designed to be.

Dude I saw a yellow XJ yesterday and stoped to talk with the guy. He had done the truck bed liner on the inside and bottom of the doors and it was tinted with the OEM yellow paint so you could not even tell it was done on the outside till you got up on it. It was nice. I think I got a pic? I'll look.

I guess he just had a major engine problem or something cause now he is selling it as "Bolt your running gear and powertrain into this excellent body/frame for a huge savings in time and money over building it up yourself. Ideal for engine swap or upgrades."? IDK he wants $2000 and it is a '89 he is in TX if anyone is interested I can get his email for you.

Get a local graphics shop to put a black line down the indent of your hood - and suddenly your black will match and it will look better - or add the black vents into your hood - then it would tie it all together (me thinks)
