i dont know what my spline count is, is it a 27 or a 29 on my 2000 xj(chrysler8.25 rear). anyone know???

You have 29 spline axles.

All 98 and above are 29 spliners.

Correction: all '97 up and some 96 have 29.

96 & 97 were mixed first year with 100% certainty was 98. Should have been more clear.
