Look at the attachment points. Would you trust this to be strong enough for winching?

Are there the four bottom bolts? I can't tell from the angle of the pic. Most every winch I have ever seen has those four bottom bolts and that is all that holds them to your bumper. Mine is like that and that is why my winch plate is reinforced with 1/4" plate ans angle gussets.


Are those six bolts all that is holdin' that winch plate to the Jeep? If so then any good pull would take the winch right off the front of the vehicle anyway. Those six are just through some sheetmetal.

It's ok, there's no cable. I bet it kept bending forward with the weight of the cable so they took it off. :smiley-laughing021:
