well I got the garage cleaned out and put the jeep in today and got quite a bit done :thumbsup:
pics are in order:
night I brought it home from the impound (before I go any further yes the driver was ok walked away with minor whiplash)

well Ive got it turnin over but I think the computer took a smack when it flipped cuz it doesnt seem to be workin

yay I found a new computer at the junk yard today and ITS ALIVE - fired right up and smoked out the neighborhood - LOL

now its supposed to be decent out this weekend (30s) maybe I can get some work done (gotta work around takin the wife out since V - day is Sun and her B - day is Mon)

Ok let me try and answer all questions


are you going to cut the top off and cage it or put a new top on it ?
my plan is to push the top back up and drive it this summer as is then over next winter cut the top off and cage it then put the top back over the cage


I love the whole idea of this thread. I hate, I mean HATE to see a good XJ rolled. This gives me hope for a XJ afterlife. :popcorn:

so what is the plan for lift and lockers or not locker ect......... what kind of wheeling is this going to see?
it already has a small lift probably wont do lockers as I dont rock climb I would like to do long arms for more articulation and skid plates for tree protection but its pretty tame where I go - just enjoyable woodsy trails

not sure yet that is still some time away yet but I do like Rustys setup - we shall see when I get closer to havin the $$ to do it

inside was a little dirty with lots of broken glass

dash was broke up so I cut a little aluminum diamond plate to make it fit - and it looks good

With the top "pre crushed" are you going to put at least a loop in there to protect your head?

nope this is a trail only vehicle

not this year just gonna stay slow and damn careful - I have my buggy to get more agressive with. next winter it will be caged
