Here's some pics of the ever continuing project I have (89XJ). I never seem to be able to stop the mod's. I've just put a Ford 8.8 in the back end with an Aussie locker and 4:10s, I just rebuilt the D30 in the front and put in a Detroit Tru-Trac and the 4:10's. Cut out fenders, dual batteries, 6" lift, aux fuse box and power stud under the hood with the 95 4.0L, Warn 9000i winch on the front, swing away tire carrier on the back, open rad conversion, rino lined interior and of course the "Miller High Life" beer tap shifter. A fair bit of pinstriping and some strategically placed rust spots.

Hey thanks for joining!

It's less of a hobby and more of an addiction! :smiley-laughing021:

I'm looking forward to seeing those pictures!

For you pictures, you'll want to upload those to photobucket, imageshack or some picture sharing site. Then just put the link here. Check out the "Announcements" forum for a how to post images. Of course you can just PM me for help as well.

Very nice. Hey do the police give you any shit about the rear license plate? I still want to see the beer tap shifter. :smiley-laughing021:

I'll add a pic of the shifter today. Never had any problems with the license plate either. Gone thru the border a number of times and they just ask me the plate number. I've even gone thru roadblocks at Christmas time and the police never said anything about it. I thought for sure they'd give me a hard time but never did so there it stays.

I put my winch bumper on in, April (I think). I was going to wait until I got a winch then put the flashlight clips on the back of the license plate. Pop it on the rollers of the fairlead. Well all hell broke loose and I didn't get a winch until last month. I still haven't got around to putting the front license plate on.

I haven't had any problems with any law enforcement yet, of course the front plate is a lot different than the rear.

I'm still going to put it on. Maybe this weekend.

I did the mag light clips thing. Then someone relieved me of it and did not even leave me the plate. So now I have a flip up bracket on the fairlead. Works well.

I was more concerned about it coming off some how, however theft did cross my mind. I'm going to attach a cable to the bracket and then to my bumper. It will serve to hold it if it comes off and to be out of the way when I'm using the winch.

I may even get extremely clever and attach it to my alarm system. :patriot:

Patent it if you do. I would love to see you get stinkin' rich.

Here it is, got it off e-bay for $10 but should have gone down to the local pub and grabbed one. Didn't know till after that they throw them out every once in a while when they stop working properly.
