Bigbadxj post a Diagram of different leaf lengths and rates. The Xj's is 51.5" and the spring rate is 775 roughly would you be able to swap in a 73-93 dodge half ton pack which is 52" and the spring rate is 1650-4000 (depending on the packyou got) for a good bit of lift with very little or no mods?

That half ton spring is going to be too stiff for you in an XJ. Even all the leaves from an S10 ride stiff

I was just asking for those on a budget and wont some lift.

They will physically fit if the width and length are the same but the ride may be very harsh. Is that what you wanted to know Josh?

Lift would not be that great because most heavy spring rated springs are pretty flat but very stiff. It is the arch which gives the lift and it is the stiffness which increases the spring rate.
Look at how flat the leaf springs on a tractortrailer are. That is the best visual example that I know of.

Free arch is the one thing that I wish was on that chart. When looking for possible donor springs, free arch as well as length and width are the three things you need to take into consideration. You are not going to get more than about 4" out of donor springs. You can add a 1" spacer block without any problem to get 5". After that you need to pony up to go higher.

i have 2 leafs from a k5 blazer. the second and third from the top on the k5 pack and have them in my # 2 and 3 position. i got between 3 and 4 in of lift pack is almost flat and flex's like crazy. the ride also inst that bad either.

that is on 33" with cut 1/4's with 6 to 6.5 total lift also have "bad" 3" lift blocks. blocks will be comin off when shackles and relocation brackets are done.

also tires where limiting up travel they where hittin the inside of the wheel well. changed to tj wheels with better offset and work alot better.

Hey Josh, I was noticing other vehicles on my 1500 mile odyssey today and saw the perfect spring for a bastard pack. Lots of arch for a great lift, right width etc. But alas, it was on an H3. Put that on and the Jeep would roll over and die.:smiley-laughing021:

I added 2 leafs from korean 1.5 tn truck under main leaf. Yes, they gave me lift. But there is almost no flex.
When one of rear wheels drive over something bigger 3", rear of vehicle rolling and some strange sound heard from there. Also I noticed deformation, front top corner of driver side rear window is loosened, almost 1cm of gap between seal and body. Now I'm finding donor leafs for more comfortable ride.
