Well I've seen sliders that consist of two square metal tubes. The ends are cut at angles, capped and welded closed. Then the side bars are welded to the tube, plates welded to those then bolted (or welded) to the unibody frame.

Actually this was the image I had in my head. I was describing these, without the frame stiffeners.

Oh yeah those are nice. They would probably outlast the jeep LOL.

I'm sure other people/companies do good work but once I saw the quality of the rear bumper I got from DETOURS (http://www.detoursusa.com/) I've been sticking with them.

I want to get the slyders (unibody frame stiffeners included) but I'm starting to detect a gravitional field coming from my Jeep now.

All that stuff does pack on some weight. I had 4 skids, rails, winch, winch holder, hitch, and two tool boxes in the back and it felt a heckuva lot heavier than normal. I found myself sinking in the mud more than the jeeps in front or behind me. Acceleration and gas mileage sucked cuz of all of that.

But I agree with Detour's stuff being awesome. I check his website every now and then for new stuff. His rear tire carrier is 4th on my list of must have stuff. :)

If you're sagging, you need a new lift!
