Hey Everyone, I probably already know alot of you guys from CT, I figured I'd stop and hang out here too.

For those of you that don't know me, I'm from North Jersey. I wheel an '00 XJ Limited with a 4.5" lift, 33" tires, Locked Dana 44, a ton of armor, etc etc. My daily driver is a creampuff '01 XJ Limited, that will probably never see dirt.

Thanks! Between my CRACK staff of moderators and systems administrator/developer team, it's come together nicely. :smiley-laughing021:

Hey have I see the 2001 XJ DD? Have you done anything to it, any plans to? I think that would be so cool to have two. I'd like to have one with MTs and one with ATs and they both look exactly the same otherwise. lol

The '01 isn't going to get any major mods. It'll get new leaf springs and budget boost this summer, and maybe new rubber if I can swing it, but that probably won't happen until early '10 since these current tires are almost new. I'll try to get some interior pics in the next day or two. It's absolutely mint....

Only thing I see wrong with the creampuff is it has NJ tags and should have some http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll187/90BlueXJ/TEXAS/BillyBobs-1.jpg Tags.

Have you had it long? Didn't you have a 4-runner or was thinking about getting one? Or am I WAY off here?

Nope, you're on the right track. I owned a '99 4Runner (bought it in Nov. '08), and I just hated it. I was looking for an XJ like the one I bought since July or so when I was looking for a DD, and didn't have success until about 2 weeks ago. So I've only had this blue XJ for about 2 weeks. My sister needed a car, so her and my dad bought it from me - easy sale!

I've gotta say something about that brush guard. Man that looks like every brush guard I see around here on the rigs with people that think off road is a trip through the McDonalds drive through.

It's pretty but it screams "slap me and take this 4x4 away from me please!"

Okay I'm sorry. It's just my opinion, it's such a pretty XJ though, and truth be told I would have had one like that on my rig if I hadn't got online and seen the alternatives.

I mean it's a daily driver, but knowing what I know now I just couldn't drive around with it on mine.

The brush guard isn't going to stay on for that much longer probably. I have never been a fan of them, but I bought the XJ with it and the taillight guards (which now belong to XJeepThing) on it. I took the taillight guards off the day after I brought it home, the brush guard is a little more complicated, and just haven't had the time to fiddle with it yet.
