Wow certainly didn't mean to "shame" anybody into anything by bringing this up, just thought it would be cool for different areas to be able to get together on occasion for runs or meets.
Anyway I'm here Paradise , NOR CAL

It wasn't you, it was BlueXJ, he's like a biting sow! :rotfl2: :headshake:

Actually I set this up a while back, and was hopeful that people would jump in and ask for area, sections, to be set up. I just died though. So who's next?

Here is one. I would like to do this before I start tearing into my Jeep again. About May or June depending on snow pack, I propose we get together in the Fordyce Creek area. I think we could invite members of other forums and make a three day affair out of it. There is wheeling for most levels in the area. I would however recommend 2" lift and 30" tires minimum. We could camp at Big Bend campground. My wife likes to cook and has plenty of experience cooking for groups. If you want steaks or beer, BYO.

There are four trails in the area. One is Signal Peak. Doable with the minimum requirements above. I did it easily with 3" lift and 31s. The second is the road to Eagle Lakes. 3" lift and 31s minimum. Challenging at the top, but doable. I would like to see about maybe collecting some Sundew carnivorous plants there. The third is a trail to Bowman Lake. I have not been on it past Fordyce Creek. 2" lift and 30s on the beginning. Last but not least is the Fordyce Creek trail. I believe lockers and 33s are the minimum here.

Anyone know of some decent trails near Auburn or Colfax? I did Marysville.. it's only ok.. I used to live in Colfax.. it has some good spots up near Grass Valley, but couldn't find much in the way of actual trails.. more like a dirt road or two, lol.. It's out in the hills, but damn if there isn't fencing everywhere..

Just up the road from you there are some diggings like used to be open at Grass Valley. Do google maps for Haul Rd. at Gold Run. I haven't been there, but my son has. He says it is fun for general play. Do the satellite view and you will see it. Another very cool spot near you is Fordyce Creek. But it is snowed in right now.
