99 transmission

So I'm slowly finishing my swap into a 95 chassis, somebody told me I won't be able to put the 99 transmission in the 95 though due to an extra computer to run the tranny. Does anybody know anyway to get around this? Thanks for any help provided, I just want this sucker on the road lol

OK, so back up a little. You are using the 95 ECM, correct?

Yeah, I'm using the 99 motor with the 95 intake, I have a ecm and harness and whatnot for the 95. I was told the 99 tranny has extra stuff though and can not be used on an obdI system

As far as I know, that is correct. I do know the wiring is different in the control wiring where it plugs into the tranny.
