So long story short, I ended up getting a 99 cherokee that was totalled but has a spanking new 4.0. I found a 95 chassis that was straight so I'm working on a swap. I ran into the problem of wiring the harness in. Should I just splice the plug so the 99 can plug into the 95 chassis or should I just change everything on the motor to accept 95 parts? I got a quote on that and ot came to about $400. I'm sure there's a cheaper way of doing it but I'm just not sure what direction to head without ruining the harness or ECU. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would get the correct sensors for the 95.
Since the 95 is OBD1 and the 99 is OBD2 I am not sure how the 99 sensors would affect the 95 computer.

Use the 95 intake, which has most sensors on it and change the others over from the 95 and use the 95 computer and wiring harness and you will have it

Awesome thanks for the quick responses, I'll see if I have the intake around and that makes sense, not wanting to cross OBDI and II
