The front end of all XJs are already a 4 link with a track-bar. Did you mean you want to 4 link the rear? Or maybe you're talking about a double-triangulated 4 link in the front?

First thing is, you will need to be able to fabricate. There are no true three front kits you can buy. I run one, but as stated I built it from scratch. It works awesome. Very smooth. But you are going to have to prepare your frame etc. As far as four link rears, there are two types. Triangulated and non triangulated. Triangulated gives you more articulation, however putting in an exhaust system can turn into an art form. We have a member struggling with that now. I have seen one kit for that, but cannot remember who made it. Non triangulated uses a track bar. Jeep TJ, LJ, WJ (uses a wishbone top link) and ZJs are set up this way. You can study them for an idea on how they do it.

Can I do the 3 link on the front and keep leaf on rear? What did you do on front for springs and shocks?

Yes, of course. I currently run Rubicon Express 210 pound/inch 7.5" coils. Bear in mind that much lift requires steering and track bar solutions too. Maximum lift without those is 6.5"

Here is how I built the front. I am currently setting up for a three link rear/Dana 44 install that will be similar.

It occurred to me that I didn't finish answering your question. I run Monroe Gas Magnum shocks. Very smooth riding on or off road and have 10 stage valving. However you have to customize them by changing the bushings out after you match the length you need.

Clayton Offroad has a 3 link long arm kit for the XJ. They're a quality company, from what I've read, but they're $$$$. Also, if you're going above 4'' or so, you'll also need to price in a Slip Yoke Eliminator kit and a new double-cardan rear driveshaft. You might be able to get away with using an XJ front driveshaft as a rear driveshaft instead of having to purchase a new custom driveshaft.

whats target lift height? IIRC the XJ front DS with SYE will need to be extended above 4".

not cheap to get it to right length and balanced, but may be cheaper than a tom woods or similar custom shaft - depending on shop resources

I run the Clayton 3 link pro with rear coil conversion, with 8" lift, LOVE it!!!! The only way to go better is build your own!
