YJ rat rod?

Been shooting the bull with a coworker who has multiple parts YJs. We got talking about the episode of Roadkill with the Willys rat rod and it got us thinking about building a YJ rat rod. After extensive Googling, it seems there are quite a few jeep rat rods out there. Can't afford to buy one right now but seriously considering this as a future project. It would be very inexpensive compared to most hot rod projects and seems to me that it would be quite easy to do. Any takes on this?

It's different and I like to be different. There are Jeep guys out there that will cringe and tell you that it's sacrilegious and that you screwed up a perfect good Jeep, but screw em....if you are going to have a hot rod it might as well be a Jeep hot rod.
