I'm looking for a Transfer Case chain for a np231 i haven't open it yet so i don't know if its a (1.00" Wide) 36 Links or (1.25 Wide) 31 Links or a whole rebuild kit

96 you need to open it and determine what needs to be replaced before requesting something in the WTB section.

Well folks, I have a 231 case in good shape with 21 and 23 spline input gears, so it will fit anything in a box ready to ship - FOR FREE. You pay the shipping. That is cheaper than a chain and sprockets. I am in CA.

I have spare 242s in 21 spline counts ready to be rebuilt. I have 1 spare that is already rebuilt but I really don't want to sell or trade it. They are an easy rebuild and can be done in less than an hour if on the bench. Then you know what you have and what you can depend upon.
If money is no object then dump the 231/242 for an all gear drive Atlas TC. Multiple gear options also.

I have a feeling that 21 splined 242s are going to be hard to find in the future. That is my reasoning for collecting them and rebuilding them. Thabnks for your interest!!:confused:
