I have a 93 xj 4wd 4.0v6 5 speed manual trans. On Monday I drove my xj about 100 miles on interstate at 70-75mph, and had no issues. Tuesday I go out and start it up, backed up, hooked up to my boat no problem. The yard was wet and the back tires started to spin. I let off the gas a little to much causing the engine to stall out. Went to restart it and all it will do now is crank. I have spark, crank shaft is 6months old. I waited a few hours tried again same thing.
Any thoughts ???

Probably flooded. Crank with the skinny pedal all the way down to dy out the plugs

Umm ok, tried that before creating post. Turns out had water in the fuel (that means bad gas), and I know what the skinny pedal is for. Thanks!

Steve I don't know about that skinny petal thing, what is it? If it's flooded you hold the butterfly all the way open to let the fuel evaporate?

Where did you get your gas from?
