Can't believe it has been 3 years....

I'm BAAAACK! I can not believe it has been 3 years since I have logged in.....

I had sold my last XJ and took a break from it all for awhile. But, as most of us know, the bug bit me again! So here I am back again with a brand new (to me) 96 XJ Sport!

I will do a better job this time of taking more build photos, but as for now this is how I got her a few days ago. Not too bad for trading a dealership straight title for title on my 98 Audi....

Nah I believe once the Jeep has been inside your wallet it stays there permanently. We went to Uhwarrie a few weeks ago camping and there was a Jeep club there. All weekend I had to watch them hit the trails, and my wife finally caved and said "OK you can get another one" :P

Good to be back, glad it is still active as ever. I will hopefully be starting a build thread soon. Gonna make a pull a part run in a couple weeks, keeping my fingers crossed for some hidden gems! :xj-red:

231k on the dash, the last one I sold had 388k and ran like a top.

great stuff. mine has 226800 o the dash. had to replace transmission mount, rear side shafts, bearings and Seals and 1 Radiator cap. other than that I just need to redo the roof lining and it's all good for another 200 000

Tear down was about an hour total with removing the old fabric. I used the Loctite brand stay adhesive and coated both the new fabric and the base and let it sit overnight. The install was a bit longer, definitely recommend a second set of hands putting it back in.
