Royal Purple Pain in the Ass!

I recently decided to go ahead and install my RuffStuff C8.25 diff cover prior to installing the ARB locker.

Simple job.

I priced the Royal Purle 75w140w from Amazon and DAMN! $21 a quart!

You have to be kidding me! The stock diff cover require 2.08 quarts, thats $63!

So even though I've been running Royal Purple for years, I'm looking for an alternative that is much cheaper!

Anyone used something for several years that you can recommend that is more in the $7 to $12 a quart range?

I've read good things about Mobile 1 but it's about that $12 a quart too.

$17.80/quart on Amsoil site, not available on Amazon, really don't know where I'd find it in my area. I guess I'd have to find a guy. No real saving when you factor in the hassle.

I can get a gallon of Lucas 85w/140w for $35. That's $8.75 a quart.

Anyone used Lucas Oil gear oil?

Mobil 1 here. Been in both axle for a couple years and so far so good but as you know mines not ran hard so not much of a torture test..
