Shipping Hike....

I heard yesterday that UPS is increasing it's shipping rates by 5% as of Jan. 4, 2010........Hopefully it will take some time before others follow.

Also heard Brown Santa lost the Walmart contract to FedEx......OUCH, that must'a hurt!!! :smiley-scared002:

I don't know if you'd know the answer to this, but will the hike in shipping rates affect most vendors? I feel like most vendors that I use, use either FedEx or UPS.

It has to........a company cant just continue to eat percentages or hide shipping cost in the product price.....Only 2 major players left, DHL is pretty much out....

Although note.....USPS is starting to get in the game, and they're actually cheaper and easier for over the boarder shipments.......(when size permits)

Spanky and I are going to start our own shipping company. It will be a fleet of heavily modified XJ's driven by Super models. Each package will be $1000 to ship. We'll make a mint, until Mrs. Woods puts a stop to it.
