Shim angles?

Hey guys so yesterday after lots of neglect I blew a u joint in my rear axle and ended up saying goodbye to my stock driveshaft (20 yrs old). So I have a new driveshaft and better joints and someone told me about shims the angle the axle to lessen the stress on the driveshaft. (And help with my vibration)
I have a 97 jeep xj with a 3" rough country lift
I was wondering if anyone has the same size lift and used shims and if so what degree shim?
