So this is the female rod end that I can use. Pic below, but what does the male end look like and how do I get one. Ive got the cheap ends and they are junk and I want to swap them out with some good ones.

I can here the bars moving underneath because the rod ends are bad. I want to upgrade.

I blame all of you for making me so addicted to upgrades, seriously!

Male and female refers to the threaded portion. Those are male. The female version will screw on to something

Ok then..... the circle opening has a hole in it and looks female and what would be the male part that is of this quality that looks like it sticks out.

A bolt.

You can see how it goes together here about the center of the image.

Do you have heims now in your steering?

I just have standard stock stuff

Would this replace that part above. So instead of a tip coing through and using a cotter pin, I would use this and a bolt?

There is really no direct replacement for the stock steering. If you use heims, you need to drill the taper out of the knuckle end and use a bolt. But you need the entire kit to do this. And bear in mind that you live in the rust belt. Those heims with bare metal will need to be replaced periodically. With your driving and state of build I think it would be a wast if time and money

Can you refer me to the best quality part I could get that will last a long time and actually work well. Stiffness.

I buy Moog off of Amazon for all three Jeeps I have. I make sure they are greasable.

How much play should my track bar have in it when the wheel is turned back and forth?

The tie rod end is built into the factory track bar.

I don't think you should have any visible play.

Below is a link to a pretty good post with part#'s of the V8 ZJ Tie Rod Upgrade. All the rod ends are the same as the stock, but you get a stronger tie rod basically for free since they cost the same as the stock XJ tie rods. What you have pictured is a heim joint which a lot of people use to build custom steering linkages and control arms. There isn't really an easy way to use them instead of the stock tie rod ends without buying an expensive kit and/or building your own.

There should be no movement. Make sure the bolt on the axle end is not moving in the hole

You may want to check if your bolt holes are ovaled. Tends to happen over time when tre's get worn out and not replaced.
