Hey all. Saw Mudderoy's link from Cherokeetalk.com and thought I'd say hi.

I'm new to XJs having just sold my old CJ-7 that I flogged over the last 8 years. I also just got rid of an '08 4-door JK that I never really felt attached to. I decided I like keeping my wife at home more than keeping a new street Jeep. So, out with the CJ and JK, and in with my '01 XJ. It's my daily driver that gets me through the Colorado winters and hopefully over the mountain trails. It's got a Rusty's 4.5" short arm kit, rear ARB, Rusty's track bar, JKS Quicker discos, JKS SuperNerfs and 32 inch all terrains. I just received a new winch bumper from Logan's Metals (great service, FedExed the bumper in 2 weeks!). I'll hopefully get the bumper on this weekend and will color match it. Next will be a winch, just trying to decide which one to get.

Welcome!! Nice XJ!! Just FYI I would think about loosing that track bar in favor of something alot stronger. There have been several cases where the TRE (Tie rod end) on that adj. track bar has broken. With out a track bar you cannot steer. Just lookin out for a good lookin jeep.

So I've heard! I'll atleast keep an extra tre in case. Oh, and something to clean up my seat it it breaks at highway speeds. I like RE's design with the steering brace but don't know the quality.

If it comes from RE the quality is great. They are a tad more expensive than others but top notch quality.

Welcome to the forum Mizedog. Would you happen to have more pictures of your rig? I'm digging rusty's flares and wanted to see it a different angles. If you don't have anymore pictures, that's ok, we'll just ban you. ;)

Here's what I've already got saved. I'll take some more if needed for ransome.:D
Regarding the flares: They were in the Jeep already. Otherwise, I'd prefer the Bushwackers. Two have cracks with electrical tape covering them. Both front flares were trimmed on the trailing edge for tire clearance. Unfortunately, that means they lost some of their ability to protect the side from mud. I will say the door handles stay cleaner than the JK's!

Some people really hate the bushwackers. I've received several ban and no more post threats from people on NAXJA. lol

Thanks for the pictures. It looks like the PO installed the front flares following the body line. They look a bit angled up front but still look pretty good. Aren't rusty's flares more flexable than bushwackers? I hit alot of trees and won't risk spending alot of money on glass flares (bushwackers).
