I am trying to get my 95 Cherokee running again the plug-and-play ECU is burnt out and cannot be repaired on top of that there are no ecu's matching my VIN at the auto parts stores so I can fix my jeep any suggestions?

Maybe try a similarly equipped 94 or early 96 ECU? I believe NW99XJ has a 98 ECU that mostly worked on his 99. I think one of the gauges read backwards. If worse comes to worse it may be an option, better to have it mostly working than not working at all.

I replaced mine at OReilly's...
Didn't use the VIN.

Rather, year / make / model
Here's what I pulled for a 95 inline 6

Then sort to manual vs. auto ... and boom

Aparently because i have a 5speed 4.0 country the ecu is un available and discontinued. Pn 56028852 not even the dealer. I was concidering one out of a wrangler, but like one of you said the gages wont work right, but will concider. Does anyone know if there is someone who will program one aftermarket?

I dont believe 97 and newer have the plug-and-play ecu

I can't imagine the Country is that different than the Sport or ...

Then it'd be closer than a Wrangler.
...and depending on where you get it, if it didn't work, you could return it. :bacondance:

A 97 ECU will not work on a 95. Look for one from a 91-95. Found a bunch on ebay new and used
