I'm trying to get the last cross member stud out and it will not move. I've tried gallons of pb blaster, heat, vice grips and nothing. The stud is completely stripped and my vice grips can't even get a hold of it. I'm about ready to drive the whole thing off a cliff. How do I get this damn stud out?

You have a welder? You can weld a nut to the end and then use that. You can also use a grinder to make flat spots on both sides to put a wrench on it. But I would continue with the heat at the same time. If it still won't budge I would cut it flush to the rail then drill and tap it.

No welder. I'll try to grind it down and wrench it.

My favorite for this is one my son the plumber just laughs at. It is a little six inch wrench that I keep around just for this purpose. It is small enough that studs etc are the right size for it

I'll have to pick one up.

Call me Ahab because I caught my white whale. Used and angle grinder to put some edges on it then a pipe wrench. It was the only thing to give me trouble the entire lift and it was of course the last bolt to come out.

A Jeep with only one rusted bolt is not a real Jeep. You probably got some type of Chinese knock off.

I did Break a seat bolt and a few fender bolts. But those were different projects.
