So 3 years later, I realized I missed the look of fender flares. Problem is, both my front and rear fenders are trimmed.
Before I try and reinvent the wheel I figure I'd ask if anyone has done this.
I picked up a set of flares from my friend. I don't have the mounting brackets but can find some pretty cheap I'm sure.

Done it! Although, mine is a 92 so it will be different since the mounting area is shorter on the 97+ flares.

Flare removed.

Cut off the opening at the first bend, then the edge rolled over.

I cut the flare mounting area down to about an inch, about. Then drilled new holes in the flare and matched them on the fender. I also made up some backing plates out of 1" flat steel to give it some strength back, but not a necessity.

These are old pics, but the best I have. Also, I have since added spacers between the flare and fender.

How about out back? Did you do the cut/fold method?

Only on the front and rear of the opening. I kept the stock holes on top. I drilled two self tappers in to hold the front and a bolt through the quarter panel in the rear.
