So I got horribly low oil pressure after an engine rebuild (around 8 psi at idle on mechanical gauge after it warms up on 15w40) and the only original bearings are the cam bearings, the cam & lifters are not original to the block - should've known better

Did you use break in oil? 15w40 oil is pretty high. Why not use 10w-30 or 10w-40.

I used break in additive & 10w30 & I had bad lifter noise & worse oil pressure, so I dropped the pan, changed the oil pump, and put in 15w40

We didn't have 10w40 at the shop & winter was over so it would have been good for a while

Get good oil pressure first, then roof rack, body work

Yeah... oil pressure might be a good thing to make sure you have... that is unless you have plans for a beastly new engine replacement.. lol

Okay, it's either 96 with low oil pressure after rebuild, 90 wrangler that needs a few drips & speedo cable, or 76 Cherokee that needs body work
