Finally picked up a WJ that will replace our JK Wrangler. I'm very excited to have a WJ in the garage again. Sold my 99 about a year ago when we bought the JK, and have been regretting it since.

I hope to start a build thread on it soon. 2001 Laredo 4.7 v8.

In the short term, just working out some bugs. Rear main oil leak, cracked plastic radiator, a stereo and fender trimming.

Long term is a long arm lift. Rusty's, IRO, Rough Country... not sure yet.

I think one of those is on my list down the road. I am anxious to see what you end up with for a long arm lift

Me too. Wish I could get the lift right now. I'm leaning towards Rusty's I think, but the price of the Rough County will allow that to happen much sooner. People talk crap about RC but there are a lot of good reviews out there. Man $1400. for a loaded long arm system is hard to say no to. Or $1k and I pick springs & shocks from someone else. I'm not a hard core rock crawler anyway. I tend to be easy on equipment so maybe RC is just fine.

That IRO front arm setup kinda bugs me. Prob won't go that route.

Steve, what WJ do you have?

Looks to be in very good shape. Hopefully the interior is as nice.

Yep Tony, outside is great. Inside is good except for the headliner. Looks like someone shook up a Coke and let er rip. That's on the the to do list also.

That is a clean looking DubJay!!! Was looking for a decent shaped black WJ after I had to let my 98 XJ go... but was unable to find any in halfway decent shape... As far as the IRO LA adjuster goes, I was pretty skeptical with it too, but now that I have it on my XJ, and setup I have no qualms with running it again, if I was to build another XJ, or even more so if I finally get the WJ I would like to build up.... Look forward to seeing what you do with the WJ!!!

It's definately hard to find a decent one. I looked at quit a few. Some weren't even worth driving. If your up for a 4.7 engine rebuild you may want look at some with bad motors. Usually from an over heat. I saw two that were overall in good shape, but needed a motor. One only had 83k miles on it. I needed one that was ready for the road so I didn't go that route.

Yeah I think I'll be looking into picking up one in need of a motor once I get back home and settled in... especially if I take over my dad's property with the large shop building (which is currently empty, and in need of some work to finish it as a shop).... As I do have my truck for DD as well as a car... and will have my XJ too... at least until the WJ has been built up a bit... but I will certainly not be parting with another XJ easily, that is for sure...
