Had a friend who wanted me to do a custom dual lightbar mount for him. He had purchased my 50" lightbar mounts for his 97 xj in the past but also had a 42" lightbar setting around he wasn't using and came up with an idea. He wanted it mounted above the 50" and asked me if I could make it work. I came up with an idea and over the weekend installed it. Took longer than I anticipated but i think it came out nice. And glad to have my first official custom project in the books.

Essentially some tabs welded to the inside of the 50" brackets, drilled and tapped. A length of angle as a cross bar modified to fit and clear the wipers, with tabs welded to the cross bar to mount the 42" lightbar. The wipers gave us a bit of trouble but with some custom shims it all played nicely together and completely modular.

Thanks guys. Steve, he's got just about every angle covered with several going in underneath for rock lights soon. And yes, we talked about upgrading the electrical. :D He's got it covered. Getting a 6.5" long arm soon too.

Found a 250 amp alternator cheap. Too bad it won't fit that Jeep engine to power all that stuff

Boy I bet that thing is brighter than the sun with all those LEDs lit up!

Looks like some high-quality work Jake. Your products always come out looking very professional unlike a lot of the work I see coming out of some "professional" shops!

Phew! That would do it alright!

Appreciate that, Abe! I'm a self proclaimed perfectionist... But I take a while to do it. This probably took around 30 hours in all. But custom jobs just take longer as there's no precedent.

Great work on the fab work. Not my cup-o-tea though. I love the lightbar on mine but its for pure function. These days light bars seem to be more of a fashion choice though.

Thanks, and I must agree. I like my lightbar looks and all, but too many are getting them purely to have the looks of a big light. Before they came out with these I planned on a baja style light bar with 4-5 round lights.

Yeah... Once my rear bumper is finished, my next project is a complete redo of my rack and lighting..

This is what I'm going for but using round leds

Very nice bracket work. I had an idiot with one of those turn it on as he was coming towards me. I nearly had to stop, could not see well for almost two minutes because of his blinding light bar. I hate people who use those on highways.

I will be adding some lights in the future for night time wheeling but I don't think I will go to that much expense. Four or five rectangular fog and driving lights ought to do it for me.
