Where did you run your power wires through the firewall?

Is there a grommet already there? (couldn't find one)
or
Where did you drill the hole?

Working on installing the ft 8800r in the 97 XJ. My 93 had a grommet already, but appears the 97 may not.

Grommet easiest to see from the engine bay. Just under the brake booster and slightly to the right (driver's side)

Yeah I was going to mention that same Grommet.. cause that is the one I ran my power wire through for my amp in my old 98 XJ.. and will again in the 97 eventually.. Then once I get my lisc done, I'l be looking to run another power wire through for some sort of radio setup.. not sure if it'll be quite as nice as the 8800r or the setup Tony has... but something.. So look forward to seeing how you mount your setup..

Well after looking around with a flash light and feeling around I went a little different route. I ran along the inside of the passenger side fender and entered through the FM stereo antenna grommet. Unfortunately I will still need more wire to be able to mount the radio under the passenger seat but for the moment I could put it in the glovebox if I wanted.

I ran mine the way everyone else mentioned on my 99. Except I ran under the trim (I don't have carpet) to under the back seat where the radios sit.
