Mega Run 2015

Just about 4 weeks until Mega Run 2015 at Barnwell Mountain! I plan to take the crawler to the competition March 6-8. First time in my life I own a vehicle that is a contender, I plan to win something that weekend.

There is events for all level of skill and vehicle, anyone in the east/ southeast Texas area should come on out.

I should be there!! you bringing XJ too or just crawler?

I'm just bringing the crawler. We don't want to tear up the Xj because we plan to take it to the Wounded Warriors event at Hidden Falls in May. The crawler can withstand a ton more abuse than the Xj. The other reason is we don't have the cage in the Xj yet, it will be under construction during the time of Mega Run.

I've been thinking of a cage lately too.... as the rig gets more and more capable, we have to go back to safety and build up other things that weren't necessary before. cage, seats and harnesses, etc. You're prolly fabbing your own huh? My garage is full of tools, but its just a garage. been looking at cage kits I could put together and weld myself - not too many good kits out there.

A kit might be easier. I plan to fab my own but it won't be easy doing internal cage. The crawler is easy, no body in the way.

Well we have returned victorious from our journeys this weekend. We won 2 out of the three events we entered. 1st in Blind Man's Bluff Unlimited Class and, Zach took King of the Hill Unlimited Class. I DQ'd on the King of Hill, I ran the wrong line during one short part of the course.
