There will be a group of offroaders going to TORR on the 17th. Some are from MoCo Cherokees group, some are from MoCo Jeep group, and some are from :xjtalk:. I know Big Jim and myself will be there, not sure who else from this site. I personally welcome all comers!! Post up if you think you can make it.

well.... 3 if you count the Patriot :D But the civic could probably wheel better than it does. Actually... seeing that I was run off the highway at 80 mph over Christmas and the civic went mud skiing and came out unscathed.... I KNOW it would wheel better :D

I haven't received a contract yet so nothing is set in stone, but I will say there is a greater than 95% chance that I will be moving to a city within driving distance of TORR.

If most of those people are from HCC, I don't blame you

Come on James, I'm counting on you to be there. We don't have to stay with the group if they start holding things up. We can do our own thing.
edit: 20 is some number I saw being tossed around on FB this morning. I'll put my money on less than 10.

Nothing like a little off roading for some good clean fun. Shall we say "Uh Oh" in advance for Ray?

In true fire fighter style I climbed under the Xj and put the fire out with my bare hands (and a rag). I drove it today and it shifts fine. I did a burn out in the shop with the swampers in H2. Fluid and filter and we'll try again.

It was great to see James again, been to long. We had a blast even though the Xj set at camp all day.

True firefighter style. I love it. No fire extinguisher? :D

Yes, but if used it then I would have to buy another one. I already blew one off in the shop a week ago due to a "thermal event" so I saved $20.

I've never seen grease and mud boil but it was boiling on the transmission housing. The fire was from transmission fluid boil over coming out of the dip stick tube onto the exhaust.

So on the way into the camp at TORR we BURIED the hauler/ trailer, everything. 21,000# stuck in the middle of the road. We unloaded the Xj and strapped it to the dually then drug it the final 100 yds to camp. Xj's are strong for sure. (this wasn't what cooked the tranny):

We had fun in the crawler despite the meltdown on the Xj:

What Ray is too polite to say is, two people from a xj group passed him by when he was stuck. Not cool.
