Two stacks  What is under the hood. They came with 4 bangers

yes indeed it has the isuzu 1.8 in it.the reason for the stacks(PO did this)was because it has 2- 10 gallon tanks.one on the left and one on the right with cross over fule.that leaves little room for full length pipe.so he had stacks put on.the day after i bought it i put proper pipe on it all the way back.the 1.8 needs it back pressure to go any where faster then a slugs pace.

i sure do like the jeep parts about it though.makes it one very rare and unique luv

it is very low geared.i do not wheel it because i bought it for my cemetery and hunting use.

it has 4:10 gears and im not sure but the Dana 20 may be geared(if it can be)

open F/R

it is as slow as my runner with 5:29's.

I've always thought of funeral homes as a recession proof business. Hey somebody's gotta do it, right!! love it!!

79-81 was the first year luv put out a 4x4,however back in the mid 70's kits where sold by dealers to upgrade 2wd trucks to 4x4 with a dana front axle and a dana 18 or a 20(customer choice) divoriced T-case for the ford courier.some other small truck dealers started to pick it up but it did not go to far.i have only found 1 other dealer modified 77 luv in the united states....2 days after i got it i was offered 6k in the parking lot of napa.no sale

mine was done be sasquatch offroad in washington state in 77 or 78.well as far as i can tell.

That's pretty neat. Never knew any of that, thanks for the lesson. Those older dealer modified vehicles can be very cool. The things they use to do... :D

Tidy looking Isuzu ..

Pretty sure 4x4 was a factory option, down here - after about 1978/1979 ..

Sold as Chevy LUV here too - until they were revamped and sold as Holden Rodeos.

The Toyota brings back memories ... Toyotas cheap fix attempt to create a SUV ... didnt mind the later ones with a full station wagon body tho.

Does look a bit similiar ehh ?? ... different vehicles but .. ;)
