Hey guys.i dont even know where to start. My wife Laurie is having trobles with severe indigestion and pains in her abdomen. Its affecting her appetite and if she eats certain things she gets violently ill. Unfortunatly almost anything can trigger it. We are both really scared as she is diabetic and this is causing all kinds of complications with taking her meds. I would ask you all to please pray for her. She and my daughters mean everything to me. Thank you all in advance

Thanks steve. Just got back from colonoscapy..didnt really find anything other than some stomach inflamation but the doctor took some biopsies to be sure. He did mention something about a bacteria imbalance because she has had diabetes for so long.should know more in about a week

I was going to mention that. That is one of the new things to come on the med front. It can explain a lot about irritable intestines and even obesity

You definitely got it bud!

Have they checked her gallbladder? My Mom had gallbladder trouble and it caused similar sounding symptoms. Where about is the pain?

That is one reason I am giving you a heads up. It is difficult to diagnose and treat

Ian, I am very sorry to hear she is still troubled by this. I know everyone has experience with different things so that brings it to the front of their thoughts when they hear something similar but it sounds very similar to the symptoms of GERD. My brother was recently diagnosed with it because he had bad pain and pressure in his abdomen. It is also very common to cause severe indigestion. Don't know if she's been checked for this but it may be worth mentioning to her doctor.

Oh, and certain foods seem to make it more prevalent.

Continued prayers for your wife, and you.

Thanks jake. Not yet although its not happing quit as often she goes to see a specialist in febuary.....not happy about the wait. My wife and my step daughters are my world and i hate feeling powerless when any of them are sick. I really appreciate the prayers from all of you guys.

Glad to hear she is better, even if it is a little. Hopefully the specialist will be worth the wait.

I certainly sympathize with the powerless feeling, and its affects on your mind. This is one great reason to come to the Lord and believe He has it taken care of. For when we are powerless, He is powerful.
