Well, just got word today, that my jeep may be traded in for cash. I can get 14k from the trade in. Reason is because my brother needs a car, and he doesn't have the money. So my mom came up with that bright idea. We still don't know. I will loose it like in the summer if this still goes on. Which means ill get 7k and my brother will get 7k to go towards new cars for both of us....
Really sucks heh?

Well think of the bright side, if you get money out of the deal, then you have the option to buy whatever vehicle you want.

lol, you just got a great gift.

You can buy a 1998 4x4 Jeep Cherokee for $5,000. With the $2,000 you have left you can buy a lift kit, wheels and tires. Big tires.

Remember you are looking for a XJ not one of those grand cherokees.

Thank me later.

AS for a street car you don't have near enough money for what I would get.

No not at all but it is worth way more than $7K and you know it. My ideal car is this in this link.

I used to love corvettes, but my ex husband is into them so now I can not see a corvette without want to run it off the road (Long story).

Yes thats why I don't own a 67 camaro, I can not afford one, they are starting at 20k, oh well that why I have my Jeep it fits me and my lifestyle and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I had a '62 in High School and sold it before going overseas in the Navy so my new bride would have a few bucks to fall back on. Always wanted another one. I want one with both tops this time as the rag top was a little noisey.

I may have already mentioned, but I had a 73 Ventura (Same body as a Nova), totalled it shortly after taking out a 250 6 cylinder and putting in a 327 V8. L60 alloy mags, yellow traction bars, 4 speed munchy. It was fun.

After the wreck I found a 72 Nova about 4 houses down, and put the 327 in it. It was green, so I painted it semi dark blue. Moved all the goodies to it and ran that for several years until I bought my first pickup, a 80 Chevy Scottsdale.

Too many close calls in the Nova (and Ventura) so something big and harder to move around was better for me. lol

Right now there are NO cars that I would find acceptable, other than a Viper. I'd love to have a big 4x4 diesel truck, but that would be in addition to my XJ.

Guess we both like the older GM stuff. I only had GM stuff until I got my first new truck a 73 Dodge which I bought because a buddy from my Navy days was in the Dodge business. Liked it and then traded it for a 76 Power Wagon. Great truck but the rust bugs got it. I reverted to Chevy trucks with my current 96 Z71 and will probably stay with GM for Pickups. Unless a good deal comes along on a J20.

I had two chevy PUs. 1980 and a new 1983 4x4. The next PU was a 1989 Ford F150 extended cab (not sure if that is the right name). It was ugly buy a great truck. Then a 1994 F150 same setup. I have to say I was much more impressed with the Ford F150s than I was with the GM products.

GM's styling was better hands down, but I had zero problems with both the F150s.

I had a F150 that I got when my dad passed away. I kept it for a couple of years and it let mt down and had me walking twice. I traded it for a Bronco and it did the same thing within a year. So I went back to Chevys and traded the Bronco for a MB coupe that my wife drove for about 8 years trouble free until it befell the same fate as my Power Wagon, rustbugs.

I've never had a vehicle strand me. I've run out of gas, twice and pushed it 200 feet to the gas station I was going to, and coasted in the other time.

My Jeep's waterpump bearing was bad, and instead of risking driving it home and have it come off and go through the radiator, I had it towed.
