One year ago today a veteran storm chaser and Extra class amateur radio operator Tim Samaras (WJ0G), his son Paul and fellow meteorologist Carl Young were killed just outside of El Reno, Oklahoma when a large possibly multivortex tornado suddenly changed directions.
