I wanted to take a little overnight trip in the jeep. So I went up to the San Rafael Swell. I love it around there, I left home and went up to I70 then west to the San Rafael Reef, and up Spotted Wolf Canyon. This road was a narrow canyon before it was built, a person could stretch out their arms and touch both canyon walls, back in the 70's it was built into a 2 lane road, then in the 80's it was built into a 4 lane freeway. So I first exited the freeway and crossed under I 70 through this tunnel then went to Dutchmans Arch then to the Head of Sinbad, to check out the incredible pictograph that is over 3000 years old. To be continued,

Nice pics Robert. Gotta love the petroglyphs

These are pictographs, not petroglyphs. They are not pecked into the rock, they used a solution of pigments mixed with blood, eggs or urine, the solution soaked into the rock. The scientists say these are some of the finest examples in the world. It's hard to believe they are over 3000 years old.
