those of us that just carry a large fresh filled tank of compressed air for any purpose is this still considered OBA(on board air) just curious.
or is OBA refer to the extra air pump on motor or electric in the back?i.e. the making/compressing of air-ability to

i SUPPOSE IT COULD GO EITHER WAY....
However....
Most guys who run a (removable) type tank that has to be filled elsewhere, don't usually have air lockers.... a Jeep with air lockers usually has to have a dedicated pump and tank system (although a tank isn't always required)...
So.... you could call a jeep with a tank of compressed air (or compressed co2) as having OBA.... but TYPICALLY a vehicle with OBA has a pump of some sorts on it...
Thats the way it is around here anyways.

Well I'm going with the cheap man's OBA for a little bit and putting my air tank in the back, at least till I can afford to build a OBA setup... Since I don't really plan on making use of the A/C anyways!! Then the air tank I will currently be using will become the storage for the full on OBA setup..
