A few years ago a $500 all steel Jeep XJ hood with cowl induction scoop was available, but the die broke and they didn't replace it. I was pretty excited to find this yesterday. I sent the seller a message asking how many were available. They replied they make them new and can make about 2 a week. Other than Honda's wanting to race ya, the only downside I can see is it's an all fiberglass hood. Do you think that would be a problem for off road use?

Just buy it .... you know you want to .. :D

As long as they did a good job of glassing in the mounting hardware ... it will probably be fine for general use.

Dunno how it would last after a long term pounding tho.

Is the ebay one from the mob in florida ?? ... performance parts or performance hoods or something ??

Oh and a fiberglass hood will be just fine offroad. Many of the baja racers are all fiberglass bodies. And fiberglass is much easier to repair is something does happen to it. Im thinking of buying the fenders in the link i posted.

Seems to me you'd be better off cutting a hole in your hood with a big blower hanging out of it. Even if it wasn't functional it would get you some looks :p

I'm just going to make my OEM hood into a scoop. It's not that hard. Plus I need a paint job at some point.
