cheap ebay ones dont realy come apart like they are supposed to for usable 550cord.
in teh military we would use that stuff to tie things down. take out the white strand guts from it and the cord flattens and makes good knots.
they are big and bulky to wear but could always use a keychain version..
always always a good prepper/trucl/camping essential to have a big spool of it.
its officialy called 550 cord. holds up to 550lbs.
theres also an elusive 220 cord out ther...

I love my paracord bracelet, and plan on doing some more with it, to always have some in case it's needed... Looking at picking up a set of 550 paracord handles for my XJ build too... Plus of course having spare cord in my tool kit in the XJ as well....

you can use it to make a hanging net for the back to hold things.and straps for straping thing up and straping thing down. I have it holding my jumper cables neetly in the back and my first aid kit up and out of the way.

I've got a local guy that was hit by a drunk driver. He does this stuff. I got a dog leash off of em. I think it's cool stuff

I keep a 100ft wad of it in my truck and one in the jeep. Great for making a raise/lower line for your gun or bow and many other uses. love it

A "Cobra Weave" was my prefered one when in the sandbox, I made them with no buckle and about 10' of cord

Same one I always do.. It works quite nicely for holding a good bit of cord, and if you do the double layer.. it holds even more...
