2010 Liberty Build

So might as well start a build thread for my Libby since you hardly see these built up, especially the new ones.

I know, no one really cares,...its JUST a Liberty but by the time im done wither her she's going to be one bad ass Libby ;)

What I plan on doing to her:
-atleast a 4" lift (she already has a 2" spacer lift)...would love to do a 6" but that wont be for awhile lol
-Locker...atleast a rear since all the front lockers seem to be very expensive but when I win the lottery I will do the front too
-Front bumper, for now just a bull bar but I really want to get this prerunner bumper....and ofcourse a back bumper
-bigger tires...want to atleast get 31's on her lol
-Roof rack with lights
-Tinted headlights.....getting the covers here soon but I really like the tinted ones

Now this will probably be like a 5 year build since parts for the Libby are few and far between and if you can find the parts theyre insanely expensive...plus im working on the Wagoneer which is really #1

Not much, got new KM2's and steel wheels, added some stickers (upped her horsepower 10 hp per sticker ;)), got a new shifter knob(will post pics once I install), ordered a new license plate (will post pics once I get it) and plasti-dipped the emblems (will post pics once I get that done). She looks way better then what she did when I first got her but theres still a long way to go before im happy with her completely.

Looks like you're off to a great start!
You dont see too many of these well built.... so when they DO come around, it's pretty cool.
Keep up the good work, I think there will be many people here that will be keeping an eye on this one!

Much beefier looking with the new mods. Gonna be sweet when you get those parts ya listed. I wish more of these later models were done up cool.

So over the course of the weekend I was able to plasti-dip my emblems.....I love the way it looks!!!

Hopefully today my new shifter knob will be in so that I can get that installed.

Just curious. The shifter pattern is the same as the 45RE going in the TJ

the 45rfe is also in the older libbys, supposedly a very good tranny while the one I have gets bad reviews :(

Yeah, the 45 tranny is the same one in pickups behind V8s It can be reflashed to a 5 speed

well I gave in and decided to install the "bull bar" instead of waiting until my light covers to come in....luckily its not really in the way

Here it is....the lights are just a "mock up" but I like the way they look so maybe this weekend I'll add them

My sister in law and her husband have an older liberty with the turbo diesel. They wont off-road it though. Makes me sad all that potential is sitting in a metropolitan drive way.

Yeah the diesel Libby's are pretty nice, but they are expensive... Found one once that needed some engine work on it... wish I had picked it up... It was the older body though... but still would have been fun to build up...

By far the best looking Jeep around my parts is a Liberty. It's owned by a 17 year old kid that has a father with unlimited pockets, but this kid knows what he's doing and has put together one hell of a Jeep. Next time I catch him out I'll try to get some pics.

It is link, lifted, and locked. I'll definitely try to get pics of it. He used to drive it all the time, but he's been driving a lifted XJ lately that is sharp. Not sure if he went overboard with the Libby to the point he only uses it for trails or if it is down ATM.

Has a 2" spacer lift currently.... Not going to get a winch but will get a rear locker, roof rack, tinted headlights, and when I get rich I'll get a better bumper and a bigger lift lol

We go over some every day that make the Subaru catch air, not good for it. Jeep though absorbs them pretty good. It is that 12" of travel. A stock one though, it will be in the air

Well I finally did it....broke down and bought the lights I wanted....and im LOVING IT!!! She looks really good....glad I finally broke down and did it!!

Now onto the next thing on the list....will probably end up tinting the side markers and may even paint the grill black...see if that looks good or not

Alrighty, it's been awhile since I added anything to my build but got some new stuff this month.

Ordered a 4.7 TB for her, haven't installed it yet but it's next on the chopping block, going to hopefully tint the turn signals sometime this weekend but I did get to mount the new crossbars that I ordered awhile back. Unfortunately I ended up getting ones that were too small so I had to reorder longer ones, will have to reorder a new basket too since the one I got was not wide enough....
