What tires do you have and how do you like them on and off-road? I'm looking to pick up a set sometime in the next few months, and would like everyone's input.

Running 30x9.5x15 Falken Rocky Mountains right now.. Not a lot of siping so leaves a bit to be desired on icy roads. But the dirt/gravel roads and snow they do fine. Haven't really had them in a lot of mud yet, will know this spring how that works out.

KM2's...LOVE THEM!!!! Theyre the only tires I will run, they do great both on and offroad and they wear pretty evenly....yes they do have road noise but I like the noise

I had the Goodyear Duratracs in the 31x10.50 variety.

They were awesome tires for a Daily Driver, and worked VERY well in dirt and on rocks.
They are the best tire hands down for snow and ice...there is simply no better tire on the market that can outperform them in this area. In the mud they are OK, not great, but when aired down, they do well enough. If you have a lot of clay in your area, then I would say go with something else. But if you dont wheel very often, they are a great tire. One of the most aggressive A/T's on the market. Quiet on the road, grips well on wet cement, and handle well too.

I have also ran the WildCat M/T's in the 33x12.50 variety

... but it was the OLD tread pattern and they dont make 'em anymore. The compound was extremely hard, and they were the most durable tire I have ever encountered. Ran 'em down to 6 or 8 psi and wheeled the snot out of 'em. They were loud on pavement, and the hard compound made them a little slippy in the rain, but they were hard to beat offroad. If they still made these, I would definitely consider getting them for a "trail only" vehicle.

Back in the day I ran a set of the BFG A/T's...

good tire for a DD, but like the Duratracs, dont perform all THAT well in mud. Decent traction in dirt and in snow (for the most part - not as good as the duratracs though.)

I am currently running the Procomp MT2's (second generation) 33x12.50

My Jeep is no longer a DD, so I can afford a more aggressive tread patern. They aren't as loud on the pavement as the SXT's were, but certainly louder than the Duratrac's were. They hook up well in just about everything. I have had them in the snow, the rain, the mud, the rocks, the sand, and the dirt. They clean out well, grip nicely, and have impressed me every trip out.
They seem to be wearing just fine too, I've had them for a while now, and have put plenty of miles on them.
They dont perform as well in the snow as the duratracs (nothing will) .... but in every other category, I am quite pleased.
Procomp took everything customers said/didnt like about the first gen M/T's, and fixed the issues for this next go around. I seriously have nothing bad to say about these tires. They air down nicely, and seem to be quite at home on the trails. I would definitely recommend them and will consider buying them again when the time comes.

Here's my opinions on the "big two" (AKA: BFG KM2's and Goodyear Kevlar M/T's)
The BFG's have had mixed reviews from all the guys I wheel with. Some like them, many dont.
The big complaint is that they dont clean out too well in deep mud/clay, and dont perfrom as well as the KM1's did in the snow. They seem to wear fast on the DD's, but the proce is right.

The Goodyear Kevlar M/T's are a good tire, I have not heard anything bad about them, and they have a good reputation on the rigs in the King Of The Hammer's Races. The issue is...is that EVERYONE seems to be running them, and often times you'll find that the tire store is back ordered. The price on these also falls into the high end of things.

I also have the Falken Rocky Mountain tires in 285/75r16 size. I haven't had them to long, but so far they are doing all right. MY driving is mostly on the street and dirt roads and slickrock. I don't think I will be going in mud too much. And they are cheap, I've talked to some people before buying mine, and every person I spoke with had nothing bad to say about them.

I have a set of 4 BFG A/T tires that I used off road with my stock rig and they worked AWESOME in 4WD. Never slipped once going through 3 feet of snow and ice. I even had to tow my uncle out of a ditch in that crap :D I love these tires and America's Tire (not sure what you have out there but AT does deliver them I believe) sold them to me for 900 bucks out the door for all 4 WITH an OFF ROAD warranty at no extra charge. If I go off road and punch the tire, they'll give me a brand new BFG A/T tire at no charge with no proration or mileage fees. Same goes for on road excursions. Definitely should look into it. These tires are 3 ply and can withstand a .22 rifle shot from 50 feet away (my cousin and I tried it while we were up wheeling ;D).

I had Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrain's and loved them.. they were awesome in the mud, on the road, snow, ice and noise wasn't to bad at all... The last set I had were Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, and they were awesome in the mud and through deep snow, not too bad on the road noise... but they weren't very good on ice..

the simex are the bees knees in the mud but shit in the river beds just dig holes ...the dc are sweet in both but need the slipper to clear the mud ,,,air down to about 12 / 15 psi......

a good all-rounder are the kl71 , had these on the old xj in a 33 and great in all road conditions , and we get em all snow , ice rain blah blah ...great in mud , rock , clay , water,,,,,,not a true 33 slightly under 33...not loud on road and run at the right psi on road will click up a few miles ..

the kl71 and the simex are a directional tire .........

I ran BFG A/T and they were great all arounder. Got a mad amount of life out of them. I think they suck offroad though. I found them to suck in the snow, but good on gravel that's like a 3/4 crush. I think I got 55k miles out of them.
I'm now on my 2nd set of KMII's. I funkin love em! Which is why I ordered a set of 35's. I daily drive my XJ and do any where from 18-25k miles a year. When new. The tire is actually really quiet. It's not until you hit about 55-50% tread wear do you really pick up the noise. Just my observation. I have evidence or facts to my state other than my observation.
I'm going to save up for a 2nd set of tires and run the Duratrac's. Such a killer tire for an all arounder tire. Way better than the BFG A/T.
But there are many folks out there that run the MT/R and swear by them. I don't think you could go wrong either way.

I am happy with it

I run Bridgestone Firestone destination A/T's on the roadroad and fo.r light off roading and they do very good for an all-terrain tire I like them very much but for heavy-duty off road I use 34 inch Super Swamper TSLs
