Should I get them or not get them. Someone said they look silly. I think they will look fine and keep the mud off my jeep.

Does anyone else have them?

I used to, the stock Jeep flaps. They do help keep down the mud and dirt on the tail gate and the front flaps help the doors stay cleaner

I was gonna get the plain looking flat, simple looking.

Well, OK mine said Jeep on them. :D

Seriously though, I will be running some eventually just to keep mine legal. They are OK in my book and all the rock buggies use them on the street around here to keep the law off them

I say put them on there if you like them. Worrying about what other people think is the first step towards unhappiness.

My vote:
No mud flaps... let that mud fly!!!! mud is a jeeps badge of honor. She'll wear it proudly. Just be careful when you get back on the street.

I do run mud flaps one day a year. The day I have to take the jeep in for the annual safety inspection. They won't pass it without them, but I take them off the next day. I think they look fine, I am worried I will tear them up though, on some of the trails.

What kind of safety inspection requires mud flaps?

bad luck

The tires extend past the wheel wells an inch or so, and the law says that they must have mud flaps covering the width of the tire. The cops could care less about this though. But the inspection places have to do it, or they could lose their inspection license from the state. There is one shop in town that did lose his inspection license, for some little infraction like this. So now the rest of the shops in town go by the book. But I think they look o.k. if that is what you want. But again, I think they might get torn off or something on a trail, so it is a once a year thing for me to put them on.

The flaps on the off road rigs around here have removable flaps. Lots of fellas running full width axles on a narrow body so it keeps them legal

I still vote no. Mud flaps are mud flaps.

I do. I had him painted on a spare tire cover for my old CJ5. But that one about naked female truck drivers. Haven't seen that one. That has my curiosity up

If your local or state law requires them I say yes, keep the heat off of you. I no laws, like here in TEXAS, don't bother, after all it IS a Jeep.

I don't normally like mud flaps, but I'd rock a set of these.

I live on a barrier island to the Atlantic ocean where things will rust overnight and run flaps because it keeps the salt and sand off the underside and backside. My last jeep, the rockers rotted out from salt-spray off the wheels. The flaps are very effective for my purposes.
