I get home...
the wife asks me what color she should pain her wood tupils?
she has like 5 of 'em on a stick in various planter pots.
pink / red / yellow... and colors that aren't from my crab box!

so she asks what color she should paint them????
= meaning my favorite tulip color???!!
playing it off = aaahhh, pink?

"No! I meanotbher than red, pink, and yellow!"
whaaaaa? there's more colors than those?

"I can't believe you don't know the colors of tulips!"

we've been married for over20 years!
I've never known flower colors!
I can spot the subtle differences between tanks!
I can eyeball the variations between K5 blazers over the years!
NFL team jersies... heap!
I can spot crappy coffee from across the room...
...trick! only bad coffee is no coffee.

suddenly, coming up on deployment again and she wants me to hand in my man card and love flowers by color?

wOw!

Deployment can be stressful so I'm gonna go with the stress of deployment.

Deployment can be stressful so I'm gonna go with the stress of deployment.

This will be my third (2nd since married).
and granted... it's been a long while since the last time, but :P

And why does the ArmyGuard give SOOOOO much advance notice?
Like a year almost!
It's torture for the families!
I just wanna go get it done already!

I always found deployment much less stressful than being at home. Only took a week of being home after my last and I begged to go back. Felt I was much more likely to catch friendly fire from my ex-fiancé than to take one from the enemy. Thank you for your service.

due to my job mine where both stressful lol....but kinda made me an adrenaline junkie and now I miss the daily rush...but being able to be with my kids and family is a great trade off for being bored at work lol
