I never did a lift before, so any help and info would be awesome! I want it to have the same stance as my old red one

Not the greatest winter in Ohio to be driving anything that doesn't have heat! Grats on the new toy though.

Congrats on the new rig and good for you... saving one like that!

Looks like a decent rig, rockers are even worse than mine but all fixable. The red one looks to be around 4.5" of lift, maybe a tad more. Gotta love the extra liftgate lock. :D That's some serious ingenuity right there. ;)

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

Always sad to see an xj being sent to the crusher, especially if they have potential like this one.

Glad you saved it, cant wait to see the "final masterpiece" lol

with some of the fixes i have done so far, i am willing to bet it came from the deep mountains of Wast Virginia! lol

lol no sir, I am 19 years old. I know of a few tire shops that still sell them! $75 a piece mounted!

I was told my red jeep had a 4.5 inch rough country lift with a slip yoke eliminator... It had 15x10 wheels with 31 10.5 tires... Tires stuck out about 2 inches past the flares... kinda what i am shooting for

If those can be picked up for 75 mounted I may have to grab a set of the 31's for my Jeep as my tires have about had it. East Liverpool is just south of Akron? Been a long time since I've been on that side of the state, but it definitely seems worth the drive.

Thank you for conserving a great resource!
The XJ looks to be a good solid foundation for a great trail rig!
When people destroy good equipment, it makes me sick!

So again, Thank you!
I am looking forward to your build thread!
