Mine is the slimline rough cut. Full diamond plate. The tire carrier isn't standard. I requested the spare tire mount be angled to match the angle of the back hatch. Mark's funny, he told me sure, but if I changed my mind later he'd send me a regular 90 degree spare tire mount.

I think the slimlines are smooth, end cut and rough cut. I love mine, it's pretty.

Hey I was looking at those IPF H4's with fatboy bulbs. Was it worth the price? Since adding my winch bumper I lost two driving lights, and I'd like to inrease the illumination with the headlights. I want to get someone's impression before I drop more money on something that just give's a modest increase.

Any wiring upgrade necessary?

Thanks, but I want to know what you think about them before I try something like that. Besides I read some stuff about the blue HIDs. They are harder to see that with the more yellow traditional lights. The blue look cool, but humans actually see better in the yellow part of the light spectrum. That's why fog lights are yellow. Not because the light shines through fog better, but because we can see yellow better. ;)

I installed the K&N fipk on my xj also, there isnt much of a difference that I have noticed.I am curious about the banks header though,I am going to buy the same for mine and install a 99 up intake manifold at the same time. How do you like the banks header?Any difference in the seat of the pants in performance? Thanks for the info!

With both those Mods (99+ Intake and Exhaust Header) together, you will definitely notice a difference in sound and in drivability especially if you have a Cat-Back 2.5 Exhaust System. If you really want to add more Throttle Response and don't really care if you get a couple of MPGs less... add a 62mm Throttle Body. Personally, I think the Banks is over rated and too expensive. You can find a Stainless Steel Performance Header on ineedparts.com

http://www.ineedparts.com/index.php?target=products&mode=search&type=extended&match=all&q=Premium+Exhaust+Manifold&pname=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pkeywords=Y&cid=29&subcats=Y&mid=0&pid=&price_from=&price_to=&weight_from=&weight_to=

This one is giving me great performance over stock. I used DEI Header Wrap and Hi Temp Silicone Spray to help keep my engine bay cooler.

the banks header made a HUGE difference in the way it drove and the sound. it was much deeper and throatier. the K&N is a good upgrade i def recommend that one too. i know a lot of people say that banks is over priced or over rated but after having one i wouldn't buy anything else.

Hey, neighbor, welcome! (Maine here). Nice looking rig you have there.

Are those the flex flares from Rusty's? How do you like them?

I've been going back & forth in my head on which to go with. These pics are making me lean towards Rustys. I like the idea of being able to buy just one flare if I need to & the fact that they are more flexible.

Wow, good to know. I guess I'll reconsider. Rusty's makes 2 types? Flex flares & standard, do you know which ones yours are?

Damn, I should have bought a set of used BW's that I saw for $250, ah well...

I love my bushwackers. Hated the price. $250 would be a reasonable price.
